AFTER PAUL NASH
I decided to put in some extra learning time with drawing and revisit the work of Brtitish Surrealist and Imperial WWI Artist Paul Nash, who has long held the top spot as the most influential artist upon my own work. I created a series of drawings as excercises for myself, based tightly or loosely on several of his paintings mainly from the War years which are amongst my favourite paintings of his. The drawings are all pencil on paper.
Clockwise from right:
Winter Sea, Totes Meer, Bombardment, Battle of Britain.
